Welcome!
This is an online
resume for William Safford. I have seven years of experience as a paralegal and a law clerk in Colorado and Ohio, and
another three years here in California. My previous job brought me into Ohio trial and appellate courts, doing criminal
post-conviction work. My experience here in California has given me a chance to develop an advanced understanding of
California procedure and work on a variety of cases, ranging from a single-count DUI to a complex federal drug trial.
At the beginning of August 2009, my wife and I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, so that she could start her doctoral
program at Stanford. Since then, I have been working as an independent contractor for sole practitioners around
the bay area. However, my true passion is indigent and low-cost defense.
I am happy to announce that I have
been admitted to the State Bar of California and am fully authorized to practice law in the state. If you believe there
